Account Manager - Openroom
WHO WE ARE:
OpenRoom has been established for over 20 years and has recently sold a majority shareholding to CloserStill Media, an international exhibitions company. Our offices are in West London, and the roles are office-based with international travel.
We have exciting growth plans over the next two to three years and are looking for ambitious and motivated people to join our award-winning teams. OpenRoom Events is a b2b event organiser specialising in the format of 1-2-1 meetings and networking in the retail, veterinary, dental and pharmacy markets worldwide.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We're looking for someone with 1+ years' experience in a similar field; this doesn't have to be in the events space. As an Account Manager at OpenRoom, you'll be joining a close-knit, fast-growing team where progression is real and no two days look the same. If you're commercially minded, proactive and ready to make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
THE ROLE:
Recruit hosted delegates for our events
Develop new business by sourcing leads through LinkedIn, web research, competitor analysis and attending industry events
Build and manage strong relationships with key accounts
Contribute to overall event development, including sourcing conference speakers and monitoring industry trends
Take ownership of hitting targets across the events you work on within the portfolio
Work with the marketing team to develop communication plans and find creative ways to promote events
Attend events as part of the on-site management team
ABOUT YOU:
Commercially minded with strong business development instincts
Self-motivated, proactive and keen to learn
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Creative thinker who can contribute beyond your core remit, marketing, operations and beyond
A real team player with a flexible, can-do approach and strong people skills
CSM do not ‘usually offer sponsorship for this role
