About the Role
CloserStill Media is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Content & Community Director to lead the content strategy, speaker acquisition, industry engagement, and overall program development for a flagship digital infrastructure event portfolio.
This is a high-impact leadership role for an individual with a proven track record of delivering world-class B2B technology conferences and building influential industry communities. The successful candidate will combine exceptional conference production expertise with a strong understanding of the technology ecosystem and the ability to engage senior decision-makers across digital infrastructure, cloud, AI, networking, data centers, power and cooling, and next-generation enterprise technologies.
As the architect of the event’s content strategy and industry engagement efforts, you will shape the market positioning of the brand, develop relationships with leading operators and technology providers, recruit industry-leading speakers, and create compelling experiences that attract and retain senior audiences.
Working closely with commercial, marketing, and operations teams, you will ensure the event delivers exceptional attendee value, commercial impact, and sustainable long-term growth.
This role reports directly to the Event Lead.
Key Responsibilities
Program Strategy & Thought Leadership
· Define the annual content vision, program thesis, and thematic pillars across topics including AI infrastructure, next-generation compute and networking, facilities and power management, sustainability, automation, IT/OT convergence, edge architectures, and emerging digital infrastructure trends.
· Design compelling multi-track agendas that balance strategic leadership perspectives with technical and operational insights.
· Develop innovative session formats including keynotes, executive interviews, panel discussions, workshops, roundtables, technical deep-dives, and peer-to-peer networking experiences.
· Establish and manage an Industry Advisory Board comprised of senior leaders from operators, enterprises, service providers, and technology innovators to ensure ongoing market relevance and content quality.
Speaker & Community Development
· Build and maintain a diverse pipeline of senior-level speakers and industry influencers across enterprises, hyperscalers, colocation providers, telecom operators, technology vendors, systems integrators, investors, and industry associations.
· Lead strategic outreach initiatives to secure high-profile keynote speakers, moderators, and subject matter experts.
· Develop long-term relationships with key industry stakeholders and cultivate a community of advocates around the conference brand.
· Represent the conference externally at industry events, association meetings, and community forums to enhance visibility and strengthen market positioning.
Commercial Alignment & Audience Growth
· Partner with commercial leadership to create high-value sponsorship and thought leadership opportunities that align with audience needs while maintaining editorial integrity.
· Collaborate with marketing teams to develop compelling messaging, agenda narratives, and targeted audience acquisition strategies.
· Drive audience growth among senior infrastructure, architecture, operations, facilities, procurement, and technology decision-makers.
· Analyze attendee feedback, engagement metrics, and post-event performance data to continuously refine programming and support year-round community initiatives.
Program Operations & Event Delivery
· Own program timelines, speaker management processes, budgets, and content quality standards.
· Develop speaker briefings, moderator guides, run-of-show documentation, and event-day content operations.
· Partner with production and operations teams to ensure seamless execution across room design, audiovisual requirements, recording, accessibility, and attendee experience.
· Measure and report on key program performance metrics, including attendance, engagement, session utilization, seniority mix, and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
Industry Partnerships & Market Intelligence
· Build strategic relationships with standards organizations, industry associations, open-source communities, research institutions, and user groups.
· Identify opportunities for co-created content, workshops, research initiatives, and strategic partnerships.
· Maintain awareness of competitive events, market developments, emerging technologies, and industry trends to inform positioning, differentiation, and growth strategies.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for an accomplished conference professional with experience producing and growing B2B technology events. While knowledge of the digital infrastructure market is highly desirable, demonstrated success in content development, speaker acquisition, audience growth, and conference execution within technology-focused events is essential.
Required Qualifications
· 5+ years of experience producing, managing, or directing B2B conferences, trade shows, summits, or executive-level events, preferably within technology, infrastructure, cloud, telecommunications, AI, or related sectors.
· Demonstrated success developing conference agendas, recruiting senior-level speakers, and delivering commercially successful event programs.
· Experience building content strategies and managing end-to-end conference production, from concept development through onsite execution.
· Strong understanding of the technology landscape, including digital infrastructure, cloud, AI, data centers, networking, enterprise technology, telecommunications, or adjacent markets.
· Proven ability to build relationships with C-level executives, industry experts, technology vendors, and enterprise decision-makers.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, speakers, sponsors, and attendees.
· Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and workflows simultaneously.
· A highly motivated, focused self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and can work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
· Commercial awareness and experience collaborating with sales, marketing, sponsorship, and operations teams to drive event growth and attendee engagement.
· Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications
· Existing network within the digital infrastructure, data center, cloud, AI, networking, telecommunications, or enterprise technology ecosystem.
· Experience launching, repositioning, or scaling conference brands within emerging technology markets.
· Experience building and managing advisory boards, steering committees, or industry councils.
· Experience moderating executive discussions, workshops, roundtables, or industry forums.
· Familiarity with hosted buyer programs, executive networking initiatives, and community-led event formats.

They will be a proactive self-starter with outstanding communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously. Equally comfortable shaping strategic conference themes and overseeing flawless execution, they will help establish the event as a must-attend gathering for the global digital infrastructure community.
This role requires regular domestic and international travel, including attendance at industry events, customer meetings, speaker engagements, and event delivery activities.
