 WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We’re looking for a qualified accountant with strong industry experience who is ready to take on a role with real impact in a fast-paced environment. This is a replacement role within the Group Financial Reporting Team, offering exposure to multiple international locations and clear potential for career progression.

THE ROLE:

Reporting into the Group Finance Manager, you will play a key role in financial reporting, VAT compliance, statutory accounts, and group consolidations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing quarterly MTD reports and reconciling to VAT payable for UK entities.

• Coordinating monthly EURO VAT returns for France and Germany (UK entities only).

• Managing VAT compliance and tax return submissions.

• Executing month-end close activities and journals, including:

  • Intercompany management charges and invoicing.

  • Intercompany loan arrangements, interest calculations, FX reconciliations, and related postings.

  • Month-end intercompany analysis and variance investigation.

• Preparing subsidiary statutory accounts under UK GAAP (IXBRL filing experience is a plus).

• Assisting with the preparation of Singapore and France accounts under local GAAP.

• Supporting budgeting for overheads and year-end accruals in collaboration with department heads.

• Coordinating and assisting with UK and Singapore tax returns.

• Preparing consolidated schedules and supporting group accounts preparation.

• Assisting with SECR and carbon reporting.

• Liaising with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional partners.

• Providing ad hoc analysis, technical research, and support to the wider finance team.

• Challenging existing processes and driving efficiencies and cost savings where possible.

ABOUT YOU:

You are a technically strong, proactive accountant who enjoys taking ownership and working collaboratively across teams.

You will bring:

• ACA or CIMA qualification, ideally trained in Practice within a Top 10 firm.

• Experience working with multinational organisations and handling VAT.

• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including group consolidations, tax, and external audits.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and external partners.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A reliable, self-motivated approach with the ability to manage your workload independently.

• A strong attention to detail and a questioning mindset when reviewing data.

• A collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
