WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We’re looking for an ambitious, strategic and commercially driven Sales Director to lead the growth of two flagship events: London Vet Show and BVA Live. You’ll be responsible for driving revenue, shaping sales strategy, developing key client relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team.

THE ROLE:
As Sales Director, you will take full ownership of sales performance across London Vet Show and BVA Live. Your responsibilities will include:
- Sales & Commercial Strategy
- Develop, implement and lead the sales strategy for both events.
- Set price points, manage profitability and ensure all targets align with business objectives.
- Drive the growth of major accounts and personally contribute to revenue through a sales split.
- Identify new markets, monitor competitor activity and uncover new commercial opportunities.
- Deliver accurate reporting on sales progress, forecasting and performance.
- Create post-event analysis and market insights to guide future development.
- Ensure an effective on-site sales strategy to maximise rebooking.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners and associations.
- Identify and nurture new business, partnership and stakeholder opportunities.
- Represent the shows at competitor events and industry gatherings.
- Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate and develop the sales team to achieve ambitious revenue goals.
- Set and review individual and team targets, ensuring clarity and alignment.
- Recruit, train and support sales staff, fostering a culture of transparency, learning and high performance.
- Ensure the team is effectively using CRM systems and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, finance and the Portfolio Director to ensure seamless delivery of commercial objectives.
ABOUT YOU:
You’ll be a confident leader with proven success in driving high-value sales, managing teams and creating commercially impactful strategies. You will bring:
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to use data to inform decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence working with sales, finance and CRM systems; strong skills in spreadsheets, presentations and reporting.
- A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong time-management and delegation abilities.
- Experience in managing budgets, forecasting and planning.
- A passion for leading teams, developing talent and championing a positive sales culture.
