WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We’re looking for a strategic, commercially-minded event marketing leader with experience delivering high-impact custom events for senior audiences. You’ll have strong collaboration skills, excellent content and brand management expertise, and a proven ability to drive engagement and sponsorship value. You’re proactive, innovative, and comfortable managing complex projects across teams.
THE ROLE:
You will lead the strategy and execution of custom event formats (e.g. roundtables and 1:1s) that drive commercial value and audience engagement. Reporting into the CMO, this role is pivotal in delivering events that resonate with senior audiences, align with our brand, and deliver value to sponsors.
Your day-to-day will be to:
· Develop and execute commercial as well as marketing and content led strategies for building custom events, including roundtables and 1:1 formats.
· Understand and communicate the value proposition for attendees, ensuring high engagement and participation.
· Define and position the sponsor value proposition, ensuring strong commercial partnerships and sponsorship retention.
· Collaborate closely with show teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and brand consistency.
· Leverage commercial insights to build and scale custom event prototypes, ensuring market relevance and profitability.
· Lead and manage a custom event telemarketing team, ensuring effective outreach and audience engagement.
· Utilize CRM systems and data management strategies to enhance customer engagement and marketing effectiveness.
· Develop targeted marketing strategies for a senior audience, ensuring messaging resonates with their interests and business needs.
· Oversee content creation and branding for event promotions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
· Take ownership of projects, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and execution.
· Drive custom event strategies forward, ensuring continuous innovation and optimisation.
· Lead post-event analysis to measure success and optimise future events.
· Map marketing blueprints and intelligence across the business to enhance strategic planning and execution.
· Report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), providing strategic insights and aligning marketing efforts with broader business goals.
ABOUT YOU:
·Proven experience in event marketing, including full end-to-end marketing campaigns for a senior audience reaching across the full marketing mix.
· Strong expertise in content strategy, brand management, and audience engagement.
· Exceptional collaboration skills, with experience working alongside show teams and stakeholders.
· Commercial acumen, with a track record of building and scaling event prototypes.
· Previous management experience of a custom event telemarketing team, with a focus on audience engagement and conversion.
· Understanding of CRM systems, the value of data, and its management, without requiring deep technical expertise.
· Proactive, self-starter mindset, with the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward.
· Ability to map and leverage business intelligence for marketing strategy and execution.
· Ability to articulate and position the value proposition for both attendees and sponsors.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills.
